3. The Roast and Rhyme event (25th Feb)

The Roast and Rhyme event in Uganda is a popular music and food festival that occurs several times a year in different locations around the country. The event features live music performances from some of Uganda's top artists, as well as a variety of food and drinks for attendees to enjoy. Guests are encouraged to bring their own food to grill and share with others.


4. Vumbula festival

This is the largest and fastest-growing tourism festival that reignites the spirit of adventure among people of all backgrounds. This two-day festival is dedicated to celebrating Uganda's beauty, art, culture, and music, along with tourism exhibitions and electrifying live performances by top Ugandan musicians and DJs on multiple stages, including the Amapiano/EDM stage and the Reggae stage.





5. Kampala Fashion Week (Feb 28th-Mar 3rd)

Kampala Fashion Week is a four-day event in February/March. It celebrates the best of Ugandan and African fashion, featuring local and international designers, models, and stylists. The event also includes workshops, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.


6. Royal Ascot Goat Races (Aug 31st)

This event in Kampala takes place in August and features races with goats instead of horses. The event is a fundraiser for charity and attracts a large crowd.


7. Kampala Restaurant Week (Variable)

This week-long event in June offers food lovers the opportunity to sample different cuisines from top restaurants in Kampala at discounted prices.


8. Kampala Art Biennale (Aug and Sept)

This international art exhibition takes place in Kampala in August and September every two years. The exhibition showcases contemporary African art and features workshops, performances, and other art-related events.


9. Bayimba International Festival of the Arts (Aug 2nd-4th)

10. Jinja Adventure Race (May)

This event in Jinja takes place in May and features a combination of running, cycling, and kayaking. The race attracts athletes from around the world.


11. Rolex Festival ( around Aug 24th/25th )

This food festival is held annually in Kampala city. The festival is a celebration of the popular Ugandan street food, the Rolex (chapatti-based street food). The festival attracts food lovers from all over the country, who come to sample the different types of Rolexes.
